Enable East is an autonomous business unit of North Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. An innovative, independent NHS team, Enable East assists other health and social care organisations to deliver effect projects and measurable improvements.
Our aim is to offer affordable, high quality services – a ‘common sense’ alternative to commercial management consultants. We have strong values including a pragmatic, common sense approach to project management and an understanding of personal skills and competencies in project delivery. Our work in the east of England and beyond has included projects with NHS commissioners and providers, local authorities, charities, strategic agencies and the private sector. A unique organisation we aim to offer something new and refreshing to the health and social care sector – the capacity and capability to ‘make improvements actually happen’.
Winners of the 2013 Essex Business Awards, Enable East has grown quickly since it was first established in 2010. Our governance arrangements ensure that we are able to operate autonomously whilst ensuring that we manage our work and resources within the expected perimeters for an NHS organisation. The Enable East Management Board is chaired by Non-Executive Director of the Trust, Peter Little. Enable East is a not for profit organisation and any surplus generated goes back into North Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust and is used to improve services.
